What does VisualIntegrity PDF2CAD do with a PDF drawing?

PDF2CAD reads the vector data already stored inside a computer-generated PDF and rewrites it as DWG, DXF or HPGL geometry. Lines, arcs, fills, colours and layer information cross over as real CAD entities, so a floor plan or a network diagram opens in AutoCAD as objects you can snap to and edit, not as a flat underlay. Text that is searchable in the PDF is mapped to MTEXT objects, which keeps room labels and dimension notes editable. Version 14 additionally writes JPEG, PNG and TIFF where only an image is needed, and supports transparency in fills and images.

Can PDF2CAD convert scanned PDF drawings into DWG or DXF?

No. PDF2CAD extracts existing vector data and does not trace raster artwork.
