EaseUS Todo PCTrans Technician is Windows migration software that moves applications, files, user accounts, and settings between PCs and servers. The Technician license covers unlimited machines within one company and lets IT providers deliver migration as a paid service to clients.
Unlimited Machines – Migrate as many company PCs as needed
Less Downtime – Apps arrive installed, no manual reinstall
Server Support – Covers Windows Server alongside desktop systems
Client Service – Bill migration work for external clients
Image Transfer – Move data from offline or dead machines
Command-line Deploy – Script rollouts across many endpoints
It transfers applications, files, user accounts, and settings from one Windows computer to another, including domain accounts, without manually reinstalling software. It works through three methods: a direct PC-to-PC network connection, an image file for offline machines, and local disk-to-disk migration on the same computer. Migrated programs such as Office, Adobe applications, or AutoCAD arrive already installed and ready to open. The Technician license adds batch installation and command-line deployment, so an IT team can roll out the same configuration across many endpoints. This cuts the rebuild time after a hardware refresh or a Windows upgrade.
The Professional edition activates on two PCs, while Technician runs on unlimited machines within one company and may be used to deliver paid migration service to clients. Technician adds domain account transfer and batch installation, which Professional does not include. It also supports Windows Server (2016/2012/2008/2003 and Home Server), where Professional is limited to desktop Windows. Both editions share the same core transfer engine, PC cleanup, application uninstall, product-key scanning, and Data Rescue. Choose Technician only if you migrate many machines or work as an IT service provider; otherwise Professional covers a single two-PC move.

No. EaseUS Todo PCTrans is a Windows-only migration tool and does not transfer data to or from macOS, iOS, or Android devices. Cross-platform phone transfers are handled by separate EaseUS products such as MobiMover, not by PCTrans. It also cannot reliably move applications from a 64-bit computer to a 32-bit one, though 32-bit to 64-bit transfers work. If your migration involves Apple computers or smartphones, this product will not cover that part of the job. For Windows-to-Windows moves, including across different Windows versions, it remains the relevant tool.
Yes. The Data Rescue feature extracts files and application data from a dead or inaccessible Windows PC by reading its disk, even when the system cannot start. You connect the old drive or create an image, then pull the selected data onto a working machine. This matters during a failed hardware upgrade, where a non-booting source PC would otherwise strand your files. It is a data-rescue function rather than a boot-repair tool, so it recovers content instead of fixing the operating system. For deeper recovery from formatted or corrupted drives, a dedicated recovery utility is still the better fit.
Confirm that every machine in scope runs Windows, since the Technician license covers unlimited Windows PCs and servers but nothing on macOS or mobile platforms. Verify whether you need domain account transfer and batch or command-line deployment, as these are the features that separate Technician from the two-PC Professional edition. Check that the source applications are supported; common software like Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, and AutoCAD migrates, while hardware-tied or licence-locked apps may still need reactivation. The license also permits providing migration as a billable service, which matters for IT shops and managed service providers. If you only ever move one or two personal PCs, the Professional edition is the more economical choice.
No. A transfer copies your selected programs, files, and accounts to the new PC and leaves the originals on the source computer intact. The old machine keeps its data unless you separately run the PC cleanup tool to free space.
Yes. Besides direct PC-to-PC network transfer, it can create an image file on external storage and restore it on the target machine, so the two computers never need to be online at the same time. This suits isolated or air-gapped environments where a live connection between the machines is not available.
Yes. The tool scans and exports product keys for Windows, Office, and Adobe software found on the source PC. This helps you reactivate licensed programs on the new machine when the original keys are no longer on hand.
