EaseUS Todo Backup Technician is the IT-service tier of the EaseUS backup line, built for system administrators and service providers who protect many Windows PCs and servers under a single license. It bundles every Advanced Server capability, including Exchange, SQL, Universal Restore and P2V, with the right to perform paid backup and recovery work on client hardware.
One License – covers unlimited Windows PCs and servers
Faster Recovery – restore failed systems to new hardware
Service Ready – charge clients for backup and recovery work
Offsite Copies – send backups to OneDrive, Drive, Dropbox
Less Downtime – schedule incremental jobs to limit data loss
Network Deployment – boot client machines over PXE network
It creates image-level backups of Windows systems, disks, partitions, files, Exchange mailboxes and SQL databases, then restores them when hardware fails or data is lost. Universal Restore lets you recover a full system image onto a different motherboard, CPU or storage controller, which is what makes off-site disaster recovery practical for IT shops. P2V copy and recovery convert a physical machine into a virtual disk for VMware or Hyper-V testing and migration. Backups can run as full, incremental or differential jobs on a schedule, so a technician can keep dozens of client machines current without manual work.
The Technician edition includes every feature of the Advanced Server edition and adds the right to use the software on an unlimited number of client PCs and servers for paid service work. Workstation is licensed for a single Windows PC, while Server and Advanced Server each cover one Windows Server. Exchange and SQL backup appear only from the Advanced Server tier upward, and PXE network boot is reserved for Server, Advanced Server and Technician. For a managed service provider running mixed client sites, the Technician tier removes the per-machine licensing that the lower editions enforce.

No. The Technician edition runs on and protects Windows only, covering Windows 11, 10, 8 and 7 along with Windows Server. Macs require the separate EaseUS Todo Backup for Mac product, and there is no Linux agent in this edition. If you manage a mixed environment, plan to pair the Technician license with a dedicated tool for any non-Windows endpoints rather than expecting one console to cover everything.
It supports full, incremental and differential backups for systems, disks, partitions, individual files, Exchange mailboxes and SQL databases. Completed images can be stored on local drives, network shares, tape devices, or third-party cloud storage including OneDrive, Google Drive and Dropbox. The cloud option lets a technician keep an off-site copy without setting up a separate backup server, which matters when a client site has no spare hardware. Incremental jobs only capture changed blocks after the first full image, so scheduled backups stay fast and storage use stays predictable.
Confirm that every endpoint you service runs Windows, because the Technician license does not extend to macOS or Linux. Check whether you need full multi-agent central management across sites, since deep centralized monitoring is handled by the separate EaseUS Backup Center rather than the standalone Technician installer. The upside is that one Technician key authorizes paid backup and recovery work on an unlimited number of Windows PCs and servers, which the Workstation and single-server editions do not allow. For a small MSP standardizing on Windows, that single-license model is usually the deciding factor.
Yes. It builds WinPE-based bootable media on USB or CD/DVD, and supports PXE network boot, so you can restore a machine that no longer starts into Windows. This is the standard path for bare-metal recovery onto replacement hardware.
Yes. The Technician edition inherits tape support from the Advanced Server edition, letting you archive backup images to tape devices alongside Exchange and SQL backups. This suits clients with existing tape libraries for long-term, off-line retention.
