BullGuard Internet Security is a mid-tier suite that combined antivirus, a firewall, parental controls, cloud backup and a Game Booster across Windows, macOS and Android. The product line was discontinued in July 2022 after BullGuard's acquisition by Norton, and Internet Security subscriptions were migrated to Norton 360 Deluxe.
Layered detection – Combines signature scanning with behavioral analysis.
Low gaming impact – Game Booster keeps frame rates stable.
Family controls – Filter websites and cap children's screen time.
Built-in backup – Copies files to your existing cloud accounts.
Multi-platform cover – Protects Windows, macOS and Android devices.
Norton continuity – Existing licenses now run as Norton 360.
No. BullGuard stopped selling and supporting its consumer products on 25 July 2022, after the brand was acquired by Norton (formerly NortonLifeLock, now Gen Digital). Existing BullGuard Internet Security subscriptions were migrated automatically to Norton 360 Deluxe, with the remaining subscription time carried over. A BullGuard Internet Security key bought today from a third party has no active vendor support behind it, and the original client is no longer maintained. For this tier, the official successor product is Norton 360 Deluxe.

BullGuard Internet Security was a security suite that paired real-time antivirus scanning with a two-way firewall, parental controls, cloud-integrated backup and a Game Booster. Detection used a layered model that combined signature-based scanning with behavioral analysis, and the package was independently tested by labs such as AV-TEST. The Game Booster reallocated CPU resources to full-screen games to reduce interference during play. Against the entry BullGuard Antivirus tier, Internet Security added the firewall, parental controls and backup, and extended protection beyond Windows to macOS and Android.
No. A VPN was never bundled into any BullGuard tier, including Internet Security; BullGuard VPN was sold as a separate product. In the app the VPN icon appeared on the dashboard but stayed locked unless the standalone subscription was purchased. If anonymous browsing or public Wi-Fi protection matters to you, this suite would have required a separate VPN alongside it. Note that the Norton 360 Deluxe plan this tier migrates to does include Secure VPN, which differs from the original BullGuard package.

It includes parental controls but not a password manager. BullGuard Internet Security's parental controls let you block website categories — roughly 24 content categories — and set screen-time limits for children's accounts. A password manager was not part of any BullGuard tier, so credential storage required a separate tool. This is worth checking before buying, because several competing suites bundle a password manager at the same tier.
The three tiers stacked features in order. BullGuard Antivirus was Windows-only and covered antivirus, vulnerability scanning and Game Booster. Internet Security added a firewall, parental controls, cloud backup and a secure browser, and extended protection to macOS and Android. Premium Protection then added a home network scanner and Experian-powered identity protection on top of everything in Internet Security.

BullGuard Internet Security protects Windows, macOS and Android devices. iOS (iPhone and iPad) was not covered by the suite, which is a gap if your household relies on Apple mobile devices. The entry BullGuard Antivirus tier was Windows-only, so cross-platform coverage was a main reason to choose Internet Security over it. For an Apple-heavy setup, the Norton 360 Deluxe successor adds iOS support.
Check first whether you specifically need the BullGuard brand, because it has been discontinued since July 2022 and receives no new updates or vendor support. A key bought now carries no active manufacturer support, and the current equivalent for this tier is Norton 360 Deluxe. Confirm whether you need a VPN, a password manager or iOS coverage, since none of those were part of this edition. If you only need core malware protection, a firewall and parental controls on Windows, macOS or Android, the historical feature set may match your needs — but weigh that against a currently supported product.

Yes. Existing subscriptions were migrated to Norton 360 Deluxe, and the remaining time on the BullGuard subscription was carried over. You sign in to Norton with your old BullGuard account credentials; if you used a username rather than an email, add "@bullguard.com" to it in the email field.
No. BullGuard products have been unsupported since July 2022, so there are no new official updates for the standalone BullGuard client. Continued protection comes through the migrated Norton 360 Deluxe product rather than the original BullGuard software.
The official bullguard.com site no longer distributes BullGuard Internet Security and now points customers to Norton products. There is no supported official download for a fresh BullGuard installation. Migrated users install Norton 360 Deluxe from their Norton account instead.
