Due to security reasons, two-factor authentication (2FA) is required when a Keys.Express customer wants to make purchases in the shop and pay by invoice.
Setup two-factor authentication for the first time #
If you are a customer with privileges to order using pay-by-invoice option, at your next login to our shop you will be asked to setup two-factor authentication for your account.
- Enter your email and password, then click Sign in
2. The first time when you login, you will see a message banner, alerting you about the Two-Factor Authentication and a QR Code that you need to scan with your authenticator app:
You need to download the Google Authenticator or Authy app on your mobile phone and setup an account there. If you already have one of these apps, you can use it. Open the app.
3. Add a new account in your authenticator app
4. Click to scan the QR code displayed in the shop (see step 2 above)
5. Write a reference to keys.express and your username, so you can find this code again in the future.
6. Remember the code that is displayed, eg. 099 183
7. Enter the code promptly in the shop
8. Click Authenticate
9. If you get an error Invalid 2FA Authentication Code, try again with a new code. You need to be very quick, enter the code before it expires.
10. If you were successful, you will see 2FA successfully set up.
11. To complete your order, click on the shopping cart on the top right
12. or click on the Keys.Express logo to go back to the home page
Customers who already have two-factor authentication enabled #
If you are a customer with privileges to order using pay-by-invoice option and you have 2FA enabled, you will first be asked to login in to our shop.
1. Fill in email and password, then click Sign In
Then you will see the Two-Factor Authentication window. If you do not see this, you do not have pay-by-invoice payment method enabled (requires credit application).
2. Please check your Authentication App (e.g. Google Authenticator, Authy) for the currently valid code:
3. Remember the code and enter it promptly in the shop
4. click Authenticate
5. After successfully logging in, you will see your Account. You can then click on the shopping cart icon to complete your order.
