This guide explains how to install Ashampoo ZIP (Free & Pro) on Windows. Each step includes one official Ashampoo reference.
Ensure your PC runs Windows 7, 8, 10, or 11, has internet access, and administrator rights for installation and activation.
Go to the Ashampoo ZIP product page and download the installer. Choose the Free or Pro version as needed.

Locate the downloaded .exe file, double-click it, and confirm the User Account Control (UAC) prompt with Yes.
Click Next, accept the License Agreement, choose an install location, then click Install. Finish setup with Finish.
Open Ashampoo ZIP from the Start menu or desktop shortcut. ZIP Free integrates into Windows Explorer; ZIP Pro offers a full interface.
For ZIP Pro, click Activate inside the app and enter your license key. Trial mode has limited features until activation.
