This guide walks you through installing and using AOMEI MyRecover Professional. Each step includes one official manufacturer reference.
1) Verify system requirements & edition
- Supported Windows: 11 / 10 / 8.1 / 8 / 7 and Windows Server editions.
- Supported file systems: NTFS, FAT32, exFAT, ReFS.
- Choose the Professional edition if you need full recovery beyond the free edition’s limit.
2) Download the official installer
- Visit the MyRecover download page.
- Click Download Freeware (or choose Professional if purchased).
- Save the installer
.exe to your computer.
3) Install MyRecover
- Locate the downloaded installer file and double‑click it.
- Follow the on‑screen wizard instructions until complete.
- Launch MyRecover from the Start menu or desktop shortcut.
4) Activate (Professional license)
- When prompted, enter your license code inside the program.
- This unlocks all Professional features beyond the free version’s limit.
5) Start your first scan
- In the main interface, choose the drive or partition where data was lost.
- Click Scan to begin. Both Quick Scan and Deep Scan will run automatically.
6) Preview & recover
- Browse the scan results and use search/filter if needed.
- Preview files to check integrity before recovering.
- Select files/folders, click Recover, then save to a different drive to prevent overwriting.
Tip: Always recover data to a different drive than the source to avoid overwriting files.
