1. Download the Installer
   Go to the official download page or your product portal and select either 64-bit or 32-bit version.
2. Run the Installer File
   Locate the downloaded file TrendMicro_17.8_EL_Full_Antivirus_Security.exe in your Downloads folder, then double-click to start.
3. Allow Installation
   When prompted by User Account Control, click Yes.
4. Accept Terms and Begin Installation
   On the welcome screen, click Accept and Continue.
5. Activate the Software
   Enter your Activation Code and click Apply.
6. Finish Setup
   Once completed, click Finish.

Detailed Walkthrough

Visit the Trend Micro Download Center. From the product list, select Trend Micro AntiVirus+Security. Click the appropriate version based on your system: 64-bit version or 32-bit version.

Navigate to your Downloads folder. Find the file named: TrendMicro_17.8_EL_Full_Antivirus_Security.exe Double-click to launch the installer.

When Windows asks for permission to allow changes, click Yes.

You’ll see the Ready to Install Protection screen. Review the Trend Micro License Agreement, Privacy Notice, and Data Collection Notice links. Click Accept and Continue to proceed.

Under Option 1, enter your Activation Code (from your product key email or box). Click Apply to validate it. Alternatively, under Option 2, sign in using your Trend Micro Account or start a 30-day free trial.

The installation process begins automatically. Wait while files are copied and the protection framework is set up. You can optionally select reasons for trying the software (trial feedback).

Once installation finishes, you’ll see a confirmation screen with a green checkmark. (Optional) Enter your email address to receive product news. Click Finish to complete setup.
