Installation Guide for JetBrains IDEs

Method 1: Download Installer (Manual)

1. Visit the KeyExpress Download Center link provided in your invoice.
2. Click the Download button, and the file will be saved to your computer.

Installation Step

Windows

1. Double-click the downloaded .exe file
2. Click Next to start setup
3. Choose installation location
4. (Optional but recommended):
   • Add Desktop Shortcut
   • Add “Open Folder as Project” option
   • Add IDE to PATH
5. Click Install
6. Once completed, click Finish
7. Launch the IDE

MacOS

1. Open the downloaded .dmg file
2. Drag the IDE icon into the Applications folder
3. Open Applications and launch the IDE
4. If macOS shows a security warning:
   • Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security
   • Click Open Anyway

Method 2: Using JetBrains Toolbox App (Recommended)

1. Go to the JetBrains website and download the Toolbox App
2. Install the Toolbox App on your system (Windows / macOS / Linux)
3. Open Toolbox App
4. Log in with your JetBrains account
5. Select any IDE (e.g., PyCharm, IntelliJ, WebStorm) and click Install
6. Wait for the installation to complete

 

Activation Step

• When you launch the IDE for the first time, the activation window will appear.
• If not prompted automatically: Help → Register OR Help → Manage Subscriptions

Option A: JetBrains Account

1. Select “Log in to JetBrains Account”
2. Browser opens automatically
3. Enter email + password
4. Return to IDE → Click Activate

Option B: Activation Code

1. Select Activation Code
2. Paste your license key
3. Click Activate

Option C: License Server (For Teams/Companies)

1. Open activation dialog
2. Choose License Server
3. Enter server URL
4. Click Activate
