Before installing Bitdefender Password Manager, close all other browsers and sign out of any existing password managers to avoid conflicts. Log in as an administrator if required, and ensure your device meets the minimum system requirements (Windows, macOS, Android, or iOS with internet access).
Installation Steps
- Go to the official Bitdefender Central website: https://central.bitdefender.com.
- Sign in with your Bitdefender account or create one if you don’t have it.
- Once signed in, click on My Devices → Install Protection and select Password Manager.
- Choose your desired platform (Windows, macOS, Android, or iOS) and click Download.
- For Windows/macOS, run the downloaded setup file and click Yes if prompted by Windows.
- Accept the License Agreement and click Install.
- Wait for the installation to complete, then click Finish to launch Bitdefender Password Manager.
- On first launch, sign in with your Bitdefender account to link your subscription.
- When prompted, install the Bitdefender Password Manager browser extension (available for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari).
- Enable the extension and grant it permission to autofill passwords when requested.
Registration and Activation
- After installation, open Bitdefender Password Manager from your device or browser extension.
- Sign in with your Bitdefender account credentials.
- If your subscription is not yet active, click Activate Subscription and enter your activation code from your order email.
- Follow the prompts to verify and link the license to your account.
- Once activated, your vault will be created, and you can set a Master Password to secure your data.
- The application will confirm that your account is Protected and Synchronized across devices.
