Use this guide to install MindManager 14 on Windows, activate your license, and confirm basic operation.
1) Download the installer
- Open the official MindManager Download Library.
- Sign in if prompted, then locate MindManager 14 for Windows (or the appropriate legacy/archived build).
- Choose the correct architecture (32-bit or 64-bit) and click Download.
- Save the installer (e.g.,
MindManager14_Setup.exe) to your Downloads folder.
2) Run the installer
- Double-click the downloaded
.exe to start setup and approve the UAC prompt (Yes).
- Accept the End-User License Agreement (EULA).
- Choose the install location (default is recommended) and optional features/add-ins if offered.
- Click Install → wait for completion → click Finish.
3) Launch the application
- Open MindManager 14 from the Start menu, desktop shortcut, or Windows Search.
- On first run, a Welcome/Getting Started screen may appear—proceed to the main interface.
4) Activate / Enter license
- Go to File → Help (or Account) → Activate / Enter License Key.
- Enter your Mindjet/MindManager 14 serial number and confirm.
- Activation validates online; once successful, the edition features unlock.
If your build is account-based, you may be prompted to sign in to your Mindjet/MindManager account instead of entering a key.
5) Verify version & bitness / integrations
- Open File → Help → About to confirm version (e.g., “MindManager 14.x”) and 32-/64-bit.
- For Microsoft Office add-ins (Word/Excel/Outlook), ensure the bitness matches Office for proper integration.
6) Configure preferences
- Open File → Options (or Preferences) to set templates, autosave, default locations, and UI options.
- Enable/disable add-ins or modules as needed.
