What are the main benefits of ACDSee 365 Gold?

ACDSee 365 Gold is the annual subscription version of ACDSee Photo Studio Ultimate for Windows. It combines photo management, RAW development and layer-based editing in one application, so a typical photo workflow does not need a separate catalog tool and a separate pixel editor.

One application – Sort, develop and composite without exporting between programs.
Folder-based browsing – Work directly on existing folders, no mandatory import step.
Faster searching – AI keywords and face recognition find shots quickly.
Private AI processing – Standard AI tools process images locally on your device.
Ultimate feature level – Includes layered editing missing from the Professional edition.
Three UI languages – Available with German, English and French interfaces.

What does ACDSee 365 Gold include?

ACDSee 365 Gold contains ACDSee Photo Studio Ultimate, the top edition of the Photo Studio line, as a 365-day subscription. Ultimate includes three things: digital asset management for organising photos, non-destructive RAW development, and a layered editor for composites, masking and detailed retouching. The package does not include ACDSee Gemstone Photo Editor, LUXEA Pro Video Editor or Video Converter Pro, which are bundled in ACDSee 365 Platinum. The software is offered with German, English and French interface languages.

How does ACDSee 365 Gold compare to Silver and Platinum?

Gold sits between the two other annual packages. ACDSee 365 Silver is based on Photo Studio Professional, which offers photo management and RAW development but no layered editor. ACDSee 365 Platinum includes the same Photo Studio Ultimate as Gold and adds Gemstone Photo Editor, LUXEA Video Editor and Video Converter Pro. Choose Gold if you need layers for composites or retouching but do not edit video.

Does ACDSee 365 Gold run on macOS?

No, ACDSee 365 Gold is for Windows only, because ACDSee Photo Studio Ultimate is a Windows application. ACDSee publishes Photo Studio for Mac as a separate product with its own feature set, and it is not part of the Gold package. If you work on a Mac or switch between Windows and macOS, choose a Mac-specific ACDSee product instead. Gold is the right choice when all of your editing happens on Windows PCs.

Are the generative AI tools included without limits?

No, ACDSee's generative AI tools run on AI credits, which are consumed with each use. ACDSee sells additional credit packs: for example, 20,000 credits cover roughly 180 images at default settings and remain valid for one year. Everyday AI functions such as AI keywords, face recognition, denoise and super-resolution run locally on your computer, so your images are not uploaded to a server. Photographers who rely heavily on generative fill or object generation should plan for additional credit packs.

Can ACDSee 365 Gold be used for commercial work?

ACDSee 365 Gold is intended for personal use; ACDSee's own 365 subscriptions are explicitly marked for personal use only. For company use, a separate ACDSee 365 Business Gold edition is offered. This distinction matters for freelancers, agencies and companies that edit client or marketing images. If your photos are part of paid work, choose the Business edition instead of Gold.

Who is ACDSee 365 Gold best suited for?

ACDSee 365 Gold suits Windows photographers who would otherwise run a catalog tool and a separate layer editor side by side. ACDSee works directly on existing folders, so a large archive spread across drives can be tagged, rated and searched without first importing it into a catalog. In the same application you can develop RAW files and then move to the layered editor for composites, sky replacements or skin retouching. This removes the export and re-import round trips that slow down mixed management and retouching work.

What should you check before choosing ACDSee 365 Gold?

Check four points before buying: platform, video needs, AI usage and type of use. Gold runs only on Windows and does not include a video editor or Video Converter Pro; both come with ACDSee 365 Platinum. Generative AI features use AI credits, so heavy users should budget for credit packs. For business or client work, the separate ACDSee 365 Business Gold edition is the appropriate option.
