Installation Guide for SQL 2022 Server

Step 1: Download Installer
Download the SQL Server 2022 installer from:

or from your provided Download Center.

Step 2: Run the Installer

• Double-click the downloaded .exe file to launch the installer.

• Choose “Basic” installation for a quick setup, or “Custom” if advanced configuration is needed.

Step 3: Accept License Terms

• Read and accept the license terms, then click Install.

Step 4: Installation Progress

• Wait while SQL Server is installed. This may take several minutes.

Step 5: Install SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) (Optional but recommended)

• After SQL Server installs, click the “Install SSMS” link or download it directly from:

Step 6: Launch SSMS

• Open SQL Server Management Studio.

• Connect to your new SQL Server instance (default name is usually localhost\SQLEXPRESS or as specified during install).

Step 7: You're Done!
Your SQL Server 2022 installation is complete and ready to use.
