Installation Guide for Avast Mobile Security/Mobile Ultimate for Android

Follow these steps to install and set up Avast Mobile Security and upgrade to Avast Mobile Ultimate on your Android device:

Step 1. Download and Install

1. Open the 
   Google Play Store
   on your Android device.
2. Search for Avast Mobile Security (latest version) or use the link above to go directly to the download page.
3. Tap Install to download the app.
4. Once installed, tap Open to launch it.

Step 2. First-Time Setup

1. On first launch, tap Get started to accept the Terms and Privacy Policy.
2. Swipe through the welcome screens or tap the X to skip them.
3. When prompted, select if you wish to receive notifications—required for protection features to run properly.
4. Tap Skip for now to go straight to the app’s dashboard, or tap Start Scan to run your first scan immediately.

Step 3. Upgrade to Avast Mobile Ultimate

• From the app’s main screen, tap Upgrade (usually in the top-right corner).
• Select the Avast Mobile Ultimate plan.
• Follow the in-app prompts to complete the purchase via Google Play.
• Your premium features—such as VPN protection, App Lock, Email Guardian, Photo Vault, and unlimited scans—will be activated upon purchase.

Troubleshooting & Requirements

• Minimum OS: Android 9.0 (Pie, API 28) or newer.
• Internet Connection: Required for installation, activation, virus definition updates, and VPN service.
