Installation Guide for Ashampoo Driver Updater

This installation guide applies to Ashampoo Driver Updater on Windows. Each step includes one official Ashampoo reference.

1) Check System Requirements

Ensure your PC runs Windows 11/10/8/7, has internet access, and you have administrator rights.

2) Download the Official Installer

Go to the Ashampoo Driver Updater page and click Download or Buy Now to get the Windows installer (.exe).

3) Run the Installer

Locate the downloaded .exe file, double-click it, and confirm the User Account Control (UAC) prompt with Yes.

4) Follow the Setup Wizard

Click Next, accept the License Agreement, choose the installation path, then click InstallFinish.

5) Launch Driver Updater

Open Ashampoo Driver Updater from the Start menu or desktop shortcut to access the main dashboard.

6) Activate Your License

In the app, click Activate, enter your license key, and complete activation. Trial mode has limited features.

7) Run a System Scan

Click Scan to detect outdated or missing drivers on your system.

8) Backup Current Drivers

Use the built-in backup option to save existing drivers before applying updates.

9) Update Drivers

Select specific drivers to update or click Update All to install all recommended updates.

10) Restart Your PC

After updates, restart your computer immediately (or allow the auto-restart) to apply driver changes.
