LUXEA Pro – Screen recorder plus multi-track video editor with 4K output.
Video Converter Pro – Batch video conversion, DVD ripping and burning, MP3 extraction.

What are the main benefits of ACDSee 365 Platinum?

ACDSee 365 Platinum bundles the four main Windows applications from ACD Systems for photo and video work: Photo Studio Ultimate, Gemstone Photo Editor, LUXEA Pro Video Editor and Video Converter Pro. ACDSee 365 packages are designed to deliver the newest product releases, so the bundle currently centres on Photo Studio Ultimate 2027.

No catalog import – Works directly on existing folders, no import step.
Local AI search – Faces, keywords and image similarity indexed on your PC.
Burst stacking – Auto-Stack groups bursts by time, GPS or similarity.
Two layer editors – Edit mode for single images, Gemstone for multi-document work.
Batch AI Denoise – Clean whole high-ISO shoots in one batch run.
Record and edit – Real-time MP4 screen captures go straight into projects.

How do the four programs in ACDSee 365 Platinum divide the work?

Each application covers a different stage of the workflow, so the bundle replaces several single-purpose tools instead of duplicating one. Photo Studio Ultimate is the hub: it browses your existing folders, develops RAW files non-destructively and adds a layered Edit mode for single images. Gemstone Photo Editor is a separate editor with tabbed documents and unlimited layers, which suits composites, social media graphics and retouching jobs where several images must be open side by side; it has no photo management features of its own. LUXEA Pro records screen, webcam and audio and edits the result on a multi-track timeline, while Video Converter Pro converts several clips at once, rips and burns DVDs and extracts MP3 audio.

Who is ACDSee 365 Platinum best suited for?

Platinum makes most sense for Windows users who manage a large photo archive and also produce video regularly, for example a photographer who publishes tutorials or short promotional clips. The deciding factor is that face detection, AI keywords and AI image similarity in Photo Studio Ultimate run locally on your PC, so an archive on internal or external drives becomes searchable by person, content or visual likeness without uploading anything. The video side is covered by LUXEA Pro with unlimited tracks, keyframes, green screen and speed ramping. If you never edit video and do not need a second layer editor, ACDSee 365 Gold, which is based on Photo Studio Ultimate alone, covers the photo workflow.

How does ACDSee 365 Platinum differ from ACDSee 365 Silver and Gold?

Platinum is the only one of the three that adds Gemstone Photo Editor, LUXEA Pro and Video Converter Pro to the photo software. In retail, ACDSee 365 Silver is based on Photo Studio Professional, ACDSee 365 Gold on Photo Studio Ultimate, and Platinum includes Photo Studio Ultimate plus the three additional applications. The step from Silver to Gold decides editing depth: Photo Studio Professional has no layered editor and no Face Edit portrait tools, both of which Ultimate includes. The step from Gold to Platinum only pays off if you need a dedicated multi-document editor, video editing or video conversion.

Does ACDSee 365 Platinum run on macOS?

No, all four applications in ACDSee 365 Platinum are Windows programs. Photo Studio Ultimate and Gemstone Photo Editor are Windows-only, and ACD Systems develops a separate application, ACDSee Photo Studio for Mac, which is not part of this bundle; in retail it is offered as ACDSee 365 Mac. Because the Mac application is a different product, Gemstone, LUXEA Pro and the layered Edit mode of Ultimate are not available on a Mac through Platinum. If your main editing machine is a Mac, Platinum is the wrong package regardless of which features you need.

Which AI features in ACDSee 365 Platinum are free, and which need AI credits?

The local AI tools in Photo Studio Ultimate run on your own computer and consume no credits, while the cloud-based generative tools do. According to ACD Systems, AI Image Generation, Generative Edit, Generative Fill and AI Remove require credits because they are processed in the cloud using Google Gemini models; AI Denoise, AI Super-Resolution, AI Keywords, face detection, AI Sky Replacement, AI Face Edit and the AI selection tools run locally at no extra cost. Every generative tool shows an estimated credit cost before it runs, and the cost depends on the chosen model, output resolution and number of reference images. In the Edit mode of Ultimate, Generative Fill and Generative Edit results can be placed on a separate layer, so you can delete them later from a saved .acdc file and keep the original image intact.

What is new in Photo Studio Ultimate 2027 for organizing large photo libraries?

The 2027 release focuses on culling and finding images, with Auto-Stack, Custom Stacking, AI Reverse Image Search, Group By AI Image Similarity and a new Reject tag. Auto-Stack groups bursts, brackets and near-duplicates by GPS location, capture time, visual similarity or a combination, and collapses each group behind the best frame without deleting or merging any files. AI Reverse Image Search lets you select one photo and find every visually related shot, which helps when an older series was never keyworded. The Reject tag marks blinks and blurred frames during review so they can be cleared out in a single pass afterwards.

What can LUXEA Pro and Video Converter Pro do in daily video work?

LUXEA Pro covers recording and editing, while Video Converter Pro handles format conversion and DVDs. The LUXEA Pro recorder captures screen, webcam, microphone and system audio and writes MP4 files in real time, so a recorded tutorial can go onto the timeline without a rendering step. On the timeline, LUXEA Pro offers unlimited tracks, keyframes, speed ramping, green screen, masking and color LUTs, produces in 4K, and version 8 can upscale footage to 4K with AI Super-Resolution. Video Converter Pro is the tool for preparing clips for other devices and platforms: it converts several videos in one batch, rips and burns DVDs and extracts MP3 audio from video files.

What should you check before choosing ACDSee 365 Platinum?

Check three things: your operating system, whether you need vector graphics, and how much generative AI you plan to use. The bundle runs on Windows only, so a Mac-based workflow needs ACDSee Photo Studio for Mac instead. Vector illustration is not covered, because Gemstone and Ultimate are pixel-based editors and ACD Systems sells its vector application, ACDSee VectraDraw, as a separate product. If you expect to use Generative Fill or AI Image Generation regularly, plan for AI credits, since only the local AI tools are free to use.

Frequently asked questions about ACDSee 365 Platinum

Can I move from Lightroom to Photo Studio Ultimate without re-importing my photos?

Yes. Photo Studio Ultimate works directly on the folders on your drives, so there is no import step, and it can import a Lightroom database. ACD Systems recommends restarting ACDSee after the Lightroom database import has finished.

How do I get photos from my phone into ACDSee?

The free ACDSee Mobile Sync app for iPhone and Android sends photos and videos wirelessly to Photo Studio after you scan a QR code on the PC screen. The app keeps track of which photos have already been sent, so repeated transfers do not create duplicates by accident.

What happens when my AI credit balance runs out?

The generative tools stop working until more credits are added, and you are not charged automatically. Additional AI Credit Packs can be bought on the ACDSee website, in the ACDSee 365 account or directly in the app, while all local AI features keep working without credits.

Can ACDSee 365 Platinum be used for client or business work?

Check the license terms supplied with the package before using it for paid work. ACD Systems has labelled its directly sold ACDSee 365 Home Plan as being for personal use only and offers separate business products such as ACDSee Photo Studio Enterprise and ACDSee Workgroup.
